Strategic Account Director, West Coast


Our client is a NYSE listed diversified advanced medical technology business that supports healthcare professionals in more than 100 countries to improve the quality of life for their patients. They have leadership positions in Advanced Wound Management, Orthopedic Reconstruction, Sports Medicine and Trauma.


The Strategic Account Director is responsible for the sale of the Client's wound care products within an assigned territory, focusing on IDNs. The role will function as the primary portfolio strategy aggregator and implementer across the wound franchises. This role will report to the Vice President of Strategic Accounts.



Act as primary liaison between product level sales management across franchises and lead business role (quarterback) responsible for growing Advanced Wound Care business (full portfolio) at assigned IDN accounts

Understand IDN needs and identify mutually beneficial solutions and/or cost savings opportunities across portfolio to develop IDN account strategy

Develop and nurture IDN corporate-level clinical and administrative relationships and engage with facility level stakeholders as necessary

Develop and ensure communication of outcome-based value story within targeted IDNs

Drive evaluation and VAC review at IDN- and facility-levels

In concert with HCS peers, participate in contract development, negotiation and finalization

Oversee and coordinate product specific AMs, product specialists, ASRs, and CCs to drive pull through of Advanced Wound portfolio

Conduct QBRs, reinforce value of relationship to drive loyalty



Minimum 7 years successful sales and/or product management experiencerequired

Sales management preferred

Prior experienceworking with IDNs preferred

Bachelor Degree, MBA preferred

Demonstrated record of influence management across multiple decision makers and product markets is required. 

Ability to work independently and also natural ability to be a strong team player and team leader.

Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, influencing, negotiating and facilitating skills.

Ability to travel overnight as required.
