The Strategic Account Training Manager will promote, develop, implement and manage commercial training programs for strategic account customers.  This position is responsible for growing strategic account relationships via focused training programs and interventions that will drive customer loyalty and influence customer purchasing decisions.  Specifically, this position will focus on sales and marketing effectiveness through the Company’s Strategic Account and Customer Training programs.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Partner with leadership to develop, present, and implement strategic account training strategies; serve as lead on any strategic account training initiatives that result.

 Develop, design and manage the Carquest Technical Institute [CTI] and Worldpac Training Institute [WTI] strategic account training programs, the company’s training solution programs that support the largest customer groups in terms of technical, sales and management education.  Partner with the CTI & WTI development and operations teams to create and deliver appropriate training interventions that meet the needs of each strategic account.  Responsible for the strategic account budget of the CTI & WTI programs. 

 Develop and execute communication processes to implement the CTI & WTI strategic account training strategies and programs. Partner with the field to support all strategic account initiatives and events.

 Partner with the Strategic Account team in fostering long term partnerships with the training leaders of all strategic accounts as determined by the VP Strategic Accounts. Support each Strategic Account Director and Manager in all CTI & WTI programs including but not limited to instructor led events, online training integration, Virtual Vehicle integration and any custom opportunity that might arise from these partnerships.

 Work with the Director Customer Training and Development to design standardized selling strategies, identify performance gaps, and assist with training and development of the CTI & WTI Strategic Account curriculum offering to improve top line sales.

Build strong collaborative relationships with the strategic account and sales teams to assist in the execution and implementation of key initiatives, and gain an understanding on new enhancements that will be needed with the CTI & WTI strategic account programs and other commercial programs. 

Work internally with CTI Research & Development team, WTI and other departments to ensure the Strategic Account Training strategies and programs are as effective as possible.

 Partner with the Manager, CTI eServices on all Strategic Account LMS integration projects including establishing statements of work, project management, customization, migration and SSO. This relationship will ensure all strategic account teams are fully trained and able to provide Tier I & II support for their LMS instance.

 Partner with the Strategic Account customers to identify and develop training programs that meet our customers’ needs. Work with the CTI Research & Development team & WTI to create custom content.

 Deliver presentations demonstrating excellent product knowledge of the CTI & WTI product portfolio and industry insight as needed at conferences and meetings

  • Ability to interpret Company Policy and apply to a variety of situations, while maintaining consistency throughout assigned accounts.


    Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Communications or related field required (MBA/ Master’s degreepreferred) and 5-8years experience; or

    Equivalent combination of education and experience.


    This position directly supervises a subset of the CTI/WTI team of 100 contractinstructors.


    Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet the company’s MVR requirements.
