The individual selected for this position will beresponsible for the total operation of the store. The individual will also provide remarkable customer service andfinancial stability through the core functions of the Retail Operation as well as maintaining all operational andmerchandising standards. The individual will develop a team that consistently meets goals for productivity and customer service. Keyresponsibilitiesinclude:

  • Delivering on Brand Promises through team execution; i.e. "Provide an easy shopping experience for our customers"
  • Delivering exceptional, fast and friendly customer service
  • Ensuring the daily, weekly, and period production goals are met by team members
  • Ensuring daily, weekly and period sales goals are met
  • Ensuring the Foods and General Merchandise departments are stocked and merchandised to Meijer standards
  • Mentoring and coaching Team Leaders and Team Members to ensure production goals are met
  • Mentoring and coaching Team Leaders and Team Members to ensure in-stock goals are met or exceeded
  • Promoting succession planning by providing career paths and identifying development needs for the Team Leaders
  • Assisting in ensuring store team is properly staffed and thoroughly trained in all aspects of their jobs and have completed all required training curriculums
  • Maintaining a positive working relationship with customers, team members and Store/Corporate leadership
  • There is a 48 hours (exempt) pay base for this position
  • Other daily tasks as required

  • Successful completion of all requiredcurriculums
  • Excellent communication, coaching and mentoring skills
  • Ability to analyze financial data and create a culture of compliance
  • Ability to develop and achieve sales and production goals
  • Ability to work with team to deliver a fast and friendly customer service experience to our customer
  • Ability to deal with conflict resolution
  • Ability to monitor sales and labor levels
  • Supercenter and/or Grocery operations experience
  • General Merchandise retailexperience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all store functions, services and emergency policies
  • Expert in customer service
  • Production oriented
  • Willingness to relocate
  • Possesses exceptional leadership, mentoring and communication skills
  • Possesses excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • This position may require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, squatting, stooping, kneeling and/or climbing.
