This role allows Sephora to bench a Store Manager candidate in large markets with growth opportunities. The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) position is designed for the individual to be in position for 30-90 days and move to their own store location. This provides time to learn how to manage a Sephora store and/or readiness to open a new store location. While in the SMIT role the individual may also have the opportunity to run a store location while a Store Manager is on leave of absence or on an assignment. The home Store Manager will be responsible for the SMIT's training and development to allow for a seamless transition. The SMIT reports to the District Manager with a dotted line responsibility to the home Store Manager.

High volume specialty retail management preferred

Excellent client service, communication, and analytical skills

Proficient in Windows, Word, Excel, and (ATS) Applicant Tracking Systems


Experience Preferred

2-5 years retail/service experience dependent on store's volume

Excellent leadership and management experience required


Minimum Educational Level

College degree preferred.


Requirements of the Job

Ability to be mobile within the market

Ability to relocate is preferable

Work in a fragrance filled environment

Handle and apply cosmetic products to clients

Able to work flexible days/nights/hours including weekends and holidays

Able to lift up to 50 pounds

Able to bend and stretch to stock shelves.
