Job Description :
Candidate will support development and qualification of Tactical Missile Systems. Tasking includes generation of requirements for safety; review of product systems, associated support equipment and facilities, functional specifications and operations, and interrelationship of system safety requirements to influence system design for system safety.
Candidate will analyze and recommend safety criteria in system design, equipment and procedures to control or eliminate hazards as well as perform applicable hazard analyses (including Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), System Hazard Analysis (SHA), Subsystem Hazard Analysis (SSHA), Operating and Support Hazard Analysis (O&SHA), Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), Software Hazard Analysis) per MIL-STD-882 and contract requirements.
Additional tasking includes defining, deriving and collecting evidence to support software Level of Rigor (LOR) testing and implementation of hazard controls.
Preparation and delivery of presentations to safety review meetings, system design meetings, program engineering reviews and change boards will also be required.

-System safety experience in developing and interpreting system safety requirements / design practices.
-Experience performing Safety Hazard Analyses, including fault tree analysis.
-Candidate must have or be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
-Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills.
-Technical writing experience and ability to present in front of large groups.
-Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
-Active Secret clearance is preferred.
-Missile and/or launcher safety experience.
-Rocket motor experience along with fuze development/qualification to MIL-STD-1316 and/or ignition circuit design IAW MIL-STD-1901 is a significant plus.
-Experience supporting MIL-STD-882 programs.
-Software Safety analyses per AMCOM 385-17 and AOP 52; including Hardware/Software fault insertion design and test experience.
-Experience in electrical circuit design and/or performing bent pin analysis/energy trace.
-Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) or Joint Service Safety Review Boards.
-Energetic material qualification and insensitive munitions testing (IAW MIL-STD-2105/NAVSEA 8020.5) or lithium battery certification to NAVSEA S9310-AQ-SAF-010 experience is a plus.
-Knowledge of Human Factors and Systems Engineering is a plus.
