Job ID 61039BR Date posted 02/16/2018 City East Hartford State Connecticut Country US GSE develops innovative repair solutions to observed & predicted distress on components of all P&W Military jet engines in order to economically return the engine to service. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: ��� Lead a multidiscipline IPT to establish repair design requirements and ensure repairs are safe, durable, and meet the quality requirements of the OEM parts. ��� Research operating environments and functionality of components, their interactions with mating parts, and develop strategies which will return damaged parts back to service. ��� Create technical documents that provide engineering requirements for repairs, including a high level sequence of operations forming the basis for manufacturing operation sheets. ��� Provide onsite audits for military repair Suppliers and Overhaul Depots in support of repair Source Demonstration and Tooling qualifications. ��� Participate in the prototyping of new repairs. ��� Support the Customer in the resolution of field supportability issues. ��� Support engine tear down and hardware inspection evaluations as needed (ACI���s). ��� Ensure repair tasks are completed to schedule and on budget (EVMS). Qualification: Minimum 7-10 years of mechanical design experience. Experience in the use of UG or similar CAD application is required. Exposure to cost and schedule management (EVMS), project engineering experience or team leadership is a plus. Structural analysis experience or knowledge of the P&W Class II EC process, Teamcenter, or ESW is a plus. Experience with manufacturing processes such as plating, plasma spray, welding and brazing is desirable. US Citizenship is required.
Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; Master���s degree or MBA a Plus.|
