Job Overview
Successful candidate will help define and drive the software product roadmap for Snapdragon chipsets within Qualcomms Mobile business unit with particular focus on emerging operating systems. Key Responsibilities: -Generate the software roadmap for operating systems including Chrome OS and Android -Generate the business case for any proposed software product and present to business management for approval -Generate the product requirements document based on input from the OS partners, mobile operators, OEMs and QCs product marketing team -Cradle to grave ownership of software products: oWork with development teams and the program management office to bring product proposals through the first stages in Qualcomms product development lifecycle and secure resources to meet the required schedule oLiaise with program management office, development and marketing teams, OS partners, and OEMs to ensure smooth execution and launch of products into the market oDrive the overall communication strategy and development of marketing collateral including documentation for internal use, customer support and for external marketing of core audio technologies

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
  • 5+ years Product Management or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Masters in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering
  • 10+ years Product Management or related work experience.
  • 2+ years working with operating budgets and/or project financials.
  • 2+ years negotiating 3rd party business agreements.
  • 3+ years working in a large matrixed organization.
  • Experience managing software product roadmaps
  • Experience producing product business cases leading to successful products
  • Experience working with external customers in a marketing, business development, product management, or customer support role
  • Experience working with Program management, marketing and development teams to define and introduce new products
  • Previous experience with application processors such as Snapdragon
  • Familiarity with Linux, Android, or Chrome OS
  • Experience developing software
  • Experience managing SW development teams
  • Prior marketing experience
  • Prior program management experience
