Temple University Hospital is recruiting a staff physician for their Occupational Health Department. The Department provides full service occupational medicine services including employee health services, pre-employment physical examinations, drug testing and a full spectrum of services to manage work related illnesses and injuries, serving both Temple University Health System (TUHS) and outside companies. This physician will provide medical services in the occupational health clinic at Temple University Hospital and Episcopal Hospital. They will also contribute to the educational mission of the University and be involved in developing policies and procedures that impact occupational health issues.
Duties will include providing clinical and administrative services; performing physical examinations; assessing patient's abilities to perform essential functions of their jobs; examining and diagnosing patient?s post-injury and post-illness; identifying expected outcomes and plans based on diagnosis or issues.
Typical hours are expected to be Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
Minimum qualifications to be considered:
* A Doctorate Degree in Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine and Board Eligible (if not Board Certified) by the American Boards in a relevant specialty, e.g., Family Practice (FP), Internal Medicine (IM), Occupational Health (OH), Emergency Medicine (EM).
* A current Pennsylvania Medical License, or immediate eligibility.
* Certification as a MRO (Medical Review Officer) and/or certification as a Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Examiner is preferred.
* At least 1 year of experience as a physician and healthcare provider in an occupational health, internal, emergency, and/or family medicine, health care setting is expected.
