Position Summary:

Pharmacists perform the day to day responsibilities of drug distribution, computer drug and IV order processing. Perform therapeutic intervention as needed, drug information and consultation to other professional staff and patients, the maintenance of patient profiles, attendance at cardio-pulmonary emergencies, drug therapy monitoring, and drug compounding. The Staff Pharmacist is also responsible for directing technicians, performing inventory control, and actively precepting pharmacy residents, students, technicians or interns as assigned by the supervisor. This position is a Direct Care Provider as defined in Pharmacy Policy. Salary Range:

Rate Minimum $65.87 Midpoint $69.30 Maximum $72.72

Required Qualifications:

Ability to extract pertinent information from the patient or other sources and relate it to the patient’s medical management plan

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Current BLS or ACLS upon hire

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Must have current knowledge of drug references, Joint Commission requirements, and other regulatory standards

One year of clinical experience as a licensed pharmacist or completion of PGY1 by time of hire

One year pharmacy practice or equivalent

Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of pharmacy as determined by the CA Board of Pharmacy

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to operate PDX computer system to process and verify prescriptions

Pharm.D. highly desirable
