Kateeva has built a world-class team of Scientists and Engineers to develop ink jet printing processes that lead to sales of organic light emitting diode (OLED) ink jet printing production equipment to OLED display manufacturers.  OLED ink jet printing technology is now experiencing growth due to the adoption of OLED display.  As Kateeva’s product portfolio has grown, additional applications outside of OLED are becoming important as well.


Engineers must be familiar with one or more of the following areas: mechanisms, electro-mechanical assemblies, micron-level motion control, liquid delivery, pneumatics, materials, finite element analysis, computational fluid dynamics, particle control, PDE & related manufacturing equipment.  

Develop high purity ink delivery systems for inkjet printers. Design bulk ink tank enclosures including pumps, degassers, filters, valves to deliver high purity ink to the printer. Also design ink management system local to the print head assembly. Design and build prototype hardware as well as final product. Some travel to Asia may be required for field support or installations.  Familiarity needed with some or all: high purity fluid delivery, design with fluoropolymers, sheet metal enclosures, welded frames, flow and pressure drop calculations, valve selection, gas delivery systems, pressure regulators, filters, degassers, LOTO

Requirements

  • 12+ years experience in mechanical engineering role
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Strong analytical background
  • Expertise in solid modeling and creating 2D drawings (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Experience with AutoCAD is desired, but not required
  • Experience with a PDM system for revision control
  • Understanding of revision control and Engineering Change Orders
  • Familiarity with system safety and LOTO
  • Familiarity with working in clean rooms
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Some FEA/CFD background: SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS FEA, and CFX or Fluent
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently
  • Good communication skills
  • Familiar with P&ID’s for fluid system architecture
  • GD&T, ASME Y14.5M-1994 dimensioning and tolerancing standards
