Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to Lead the Engineering Function of Global Facilities Management Services for the Madison Site. This position provides technical expertise and leadership to support the engineering and construction lifecycle of a regulated manufacturing facility and its associated utilities.

Specific Duties and Skills

  • Must understand and operate compliantly within company Quality Management System
  • Responsible to create and oversee both Capital and Operational budget and expense accounting for Facilities Engineering team
  • Provide PMO oversight on construction and equipment improvement projects
  • Lead site level PMO operations for local GFMS, and contribute to Regional PMO operations as required
  • Accountable for project management, schedule creation, resource management
  • Perform budgeting and cost-benefit analysis for purchases and projects typically ranging from $50,000 to $1,000,000+
  • Submit Capital Expense Requests to support PMO operations
  • Direct team members in carrying out PMO governance and project objectives
  • Own and improve site specific internal processes used for design, build, commissioning, validation and change control
  • Support the implementation of best practices as the business grows in scale
  • Oversee and participate in the creation of engineering specifications and designs
  • Accountable to compile and analyze data generated from equipment to support continuous improvement and environmental responsibility efforts
  • Oversee records change control for new equipment or facility design and modification
  • Support and improve internal processes to ensure Regulatory compliance is maintained
  • Daily operational support and other duties as needed or assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction management or equivalent from accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience required in the corporate environment; pharmaceutical, medical or medical device experience industry is preferred
  • Experience in clean rooms, RODI, HVAC, building and environmental management systems used to support a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Experience with walk-in cold storage units which contain business-critical materials
  • Experience working cross-functionally to develop technical requirements
  • Experience with designing, engineering, building, commissioning, and validating facilities
  • FDA, ISO, and CLIA experience preferred
