Currently: UTC Aerospace is recruiting for a Staff Engineer to:
Investigate field problems/inquiries and QA escapes, provide innovative/practical solutions to resolve technical issues affecting the Airlines, Engine and Airframe Manufacturers per customer specifications. Prepare/provide related customer presentations. Support OEM RFQ development to address post-production initiatives for aging aircraft, aircraft/engine improvements and Airworthiness Directives. Contract administration. Responsible for engineering creation, mod development, Service Bulletin and kit creation as well as coordinating and supporting implementation into the fleet. Serve as technical expert and spokesperson on specialized projects and programs.
Qualification: Understanding of nacelle systems, products, processes and skills necessary to meet program needs. Perform project planning, scheduling and implementation while maintaining a focus on business results. Advanced ability to define, implement, track, and document a multi-disciplinary project (schedule, resources, cost & budget). Ability to interface with customers/suppliers at all levels. Advanced proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of Teamcenter applications, AMM, CMM, SRM, MPD and Aircraft/Engine IPC manuals. Interact with suppliers on development of problem solutions. Review and approve documents prepared by others.
Education: B.S. and 10+ years experience
