Responsibilities include modeling, simulation and design of GPS-based Navigation Systems digital signal processing (DSP) for use in an ASIC design. Also responsible for algorithm development, modeling, system simulation, implementation and verification with emphasis on military GPS receivers. The Staff Engineer may also work with the Principal Engineer(s) to participate in the product development process including structured requirements and design reviews.

Required Education/ Experience:
Position requires a Bachelor or Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline, and a passion to pursue a career with L3Harris.
* A minimum of 7 to 9 years' experience in navigation systems with emphasis in digital signal processing desired.
* Must have experience modeling and simulation in MATLAB/Simulink, and experience in requirements development and management.
* Knowledge or successful use of architectural frameworks, object oriented programming, DOORS, military GPS, signal processing, electronic engineering and/or RF designs a plus.
* Requires a strong math background with a desired knowledge of Kalman filters, covariance analysis, digital/analog signal processing and external navigation sensors.
S pecial Requirements: An active DoD Secret Clearance is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet and maintain eligibility requirements for access to DoD classified information.
