National Instruments is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join the Customer Master Data Management (MDM) team. The Business Analyst’s primary role is delivering business process, data, and systems solutions by working closely with business stakeholders to understand their objectives and processes and then serving as a liaison to the Customer MDM development team.  The candidate will possess strong competencies in project management, problem solving, data analysis, communication, business acumen, and technical aptitude.   Responsibilities:

  • Execute the full project management life cycle (PMLC) from project initiation through implementation and production support 
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and resource requirements 
  • Anticipate and mitigate project risk, facilitate decisions, and manage change 
  • Gather, document, and communicate requirements effectively to ensure appropriate implementation and use of customer MDM solutions 
  • Analyze, understand, and document the flow of information between applications, databases, and third party (client/vendor) systems 
  • Perform data analysis and profiling as part of requirements gathering, troubleshooting, or testing 
  • Ensure data quality by defining standards, identifying process or system improvements, and monitoring key metrics 
  • Prepare test cases and perform functional, acceptance, and regression testing 
  • Design and/or review conceptual and logical data models 
  • Engage with business and project stakeholders, IT, and team members on an ongoing basis 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable enterprise adoption of customer master data 
  • Provide clear communication to a variety of audiences, including executives, business stakeholders, peers, and technical staff 
  • Assist with management, prioritization, troubleshooting, resolution, and escalation of issues 
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project 
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team 

 

Qualifications

 Requirements:

 Relevant Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field strongly preferred 
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in Business Analysis (preferably in quantitative and qualitative analysis of data)  
  • Intermediate level skills in project management 
  • Demonstrated experience with data profiling and SQL in a large database environment 
  • Experience in Customer MDM domain a plus 
  • Knowledge of CRM and ERP systems, including Oracle eBusiness Suite, Salesforce.com, and Eloqua, a plus 
  • Experience researching, evaluating, and implementing third party solutions 
  • Experience with JIRA and Agile methodology a plus
