Sr. Water Resources Engineer

Description of Duties / Responsibilities:
General duties will include project management and business development in the water resources/water supply areas. Specifically, the candidate must have previous technical experience in water resources planning, water treatment, water transmission/distribution, wastewater planning, wastewater collection, and wastewater treatment. Previous experience in water rights, floodplain management, and dam safety is a plus. Candidate must have a good understanding of municipal, state, and federal water regulations and programs. Travel will be based upon individual project and group needs.
Education: Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Water Resources Planning, Water Resources Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
Experience: PE required. Position to address growing water resources business activities, 10-15years’ experience minimum. Candidate should have a good understanding of the following disciplines: Water Resources/Water Supply, Water Quality, Wastewater Management, and Environmental Science/Engineering. An understanding of Water Rights, Floodplain Management, and Dam Safety will be helpful. Candidate must be a current PE.
Essential Physical Functions:
Stand or sit – must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Walk –this position requires the ability to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. – 25% of the time. Full range of motion to walk, stoop and stand while working on worksites – 25% of the time. Use hands/fingers – must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer – 50% of the time. Talk – This position frequently communicates with internal and external customers, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations – 25% of the time. Vision – must be able to clearly focus on information located on a computer screen, paperwork, etc. – 50% of the time. Lift/Carry – must be able to lift/carry up to 30 lbs. of site equipment when necessary.
