Whether the merchandise we sell, the customer service we offer, or our investments in technology, everything we do is to enhance the customer experience across all channels and brands.   JOB SUMMARY Provides strategic leadership and direction to Store Vice President, General Managers to maximize sales, margin and profit with a customer service focus.   DESCRIPTION

  • Responsible for the development and performance management of Store General Managers, measured by appropriate performance reports and scorecards with support from the Executive Vice President.
  • Provides disciplined leadership support including setting clear expectations, coaching and counseling and holding the team and self accountable for results.
  • Supports the execution of the brand/business plan consistently across all stores and provides ongoing fact-based feedback.
  • Visits each store within their responsibility at least four (4) times each year
  • Consistently delivers acceptable results in the region with an intense focus on customer service and sales growth.
  • Supports the development and implementation of tactics to accelerate improvement in financial results, including merchandise strategies, margin and expense management.  Accountable for controllable cost versus plan and the identification continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Partners with the appropriate Store Senior Support team to identify and execute PR, HR, Merchandising and Operational best practices.
  • Leads NMG Company initiatives, store strategies and specific projects assigned by the Executive Vice President across all stores.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years experience in multi-unit retail, specialty retailing or equivalent industry experience; previous experience managing remote teams preferred.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years experience as specialty retail General Manager with P & L responsibility.
  • Proven ability to drive results.
  • Ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze information, identify root causes and develop/implement approved solutions.
  • Experience selecting, assessing, coaching and developing managers in a retail environment.
  • Knowledge of financial operations and processes; analytical skills to diagnose root cause of deficiencies.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills necessary to communicate with all levels of internal and external team members.
  • Ability to travel7 days per month.
  • Experiences in corporate and cross formats are preferred.
  • Ability to form strong partnerships across reporting relationships.
  • Ability to influence activities and results of those who are not direct reports.
