The Senior Unified Communication and Collaboration Engineer is a key technical leader in enterprise and brand communication and collaboration planning, architecture, design and engineering. He or she integrates and standardizes communication hardware, software and carrier technologies, evaluates new products, resolves communication inconsistencies and assists in developing and documenting technical standards. Time is highly allocated to project-related activities while mentoring support engineers along the way.
•30% - Design UC networks and develop implementation plans to support growth-oriented collaboration endpoints
•25% - Configure Cisco Call Manager, Unity, CER, IM & Presence, TMS, Session Manager and Meeting Servers fulfilling business objectives and ensuring smooth, reliable operation.
•15% - Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
•15% - Collaborate with other ascena IT teams and or brand partners to align on best practice, inter-discipline solutions.
•10% - Create and maintain documentation as it relates to UC configuration, topology, process, and standards.
•5% - Collaborate with management and department leaders to assess near and long-term voice and video capacity.
•7 years, hands on experience in Unified Communication and Collaboration.
•Expert in Cisco Call Manager Advanced Routing Design and Troubleshooting
•Expert in Cisco Cube and SIP Configuration, Design and Troubleshooting
•Proficient in Cisco UC applications such as Jabber and WebEx (Meetings and Teams) technologies.
•Proficient in Cisco UC endpoints both Voice and Video
•Proficient in Cisco Meeting Server, TMS, MSE 8000 and Conductor
•Working knowledge of VMware
•Working knowledge of IP addressing, QoS and VLAN
•Leadership and customer service skills essential
•Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
•Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred
