The Software Test Team has an opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to help the team utilize automated and simulated test frameworks to script, test, and drive improvements in the quality of our products. In addition, the test team designs, develops, tests, validates, and drives continuous improvements in test automation and simulation frameworks.

A Day in the Life 

?Work on initiatives to drive continuously improvements in test processes and procedures. 

?Define, design, develop, verify, and validate test automation and simulation frameworks.

?Read, analyze, understand requirements and provide feedback to members of the requirements, development, and test team.

?Keep abreast of technical and industry trends related to software verification.

?Provide leadership to Engineers across multiple sites, consisting of employees and contract personnel.

?Participate and contribute to product code and design reviews.

?Implement a robust test automation strategy to provide early and continuous feedback of product quality.

?Write test plans for new product features.

?Provide concise, timely, and accurate status reports of all verification activities. 

?Identify, analyze and solve technical problems with minimal support from test and development team.

?Follow standards defined by the Food and Drug Administration for the medical device industry.

?Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment.

?Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.

?Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed.

?Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.

?Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements:
? Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and 4+ years of professional experience in software development and/or software test or? Masters Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering and 2+ years of professional experience in software development and/or software test? Experience in one or more of the following software languages: C, C++, Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, PHP or Objective-C.? Experience in software testing; Verification & Validation.
Nice to Have:
? 4+ years of software testing experience? Experience with testing an Embedded or Mobile Device.? Experience with creating test automation frameworks.? Experience with Firmware or Software in a medical device environment? Experience with engineering documentation.? Experience with version control tools. ? Knowledge in model driven development and/or model driven test: e.g. MATLAB/Simulink.? Experience with requirements management system and defect management applications.? Knowledge of technology trends and domain expertise.? Critical thinking? Change Agile? Self-motivated to strive for excellence.? Experience working independently and as a team member.
