Job Description
Provide analytical support as it relates to understanding the Applications Upstream/Downstream Interfaces, Data Flows, Data Modeling and Management with SQL including data assessment and extraction, perform gap analysis and remediate management-identified issues within large databases, Data Collection and Submissions from multiple IT source systems
Manage and support Regulatory Reporting Preparation and Analysis with the requisite processes and controls in AMERICAS, APAC or EMEA countries
Understand set rules/principles of GAAP accounting standards to perform analytical procedures on the regulatory reports
Research and implement new/revised regulatory reporting requirements and communicate the reporting and regulatory data requirements to business partners
Provide SME expertise of IT Business Systems Analysis in the domain of Regulatory Reporting
Liaise with business owners to understand and document business, functional and data requirements and help prepare SVB's regulatory reports in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, company policies and procedures, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Consult with project stakeholders to manage and conduct the initial assessment, analyze, define, challenge and prioritize the change requests/tasks for a functional work stream within a highly complex strategic, global program and recommend business solutions that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs for SVB's Finance IT systems and processes
Translate business requirements into technical requirements by understanding upstream/feeder applications and data, and develop systems specifications
Perform gap analysis, design system flows, and contribute to test strategy, test plans, expected results and test coordination, and participate in user testing, diagnose defects that arise leading to report production release
Analyze data and perform ad-hoc analysis in researching and remediating any post production issues
Multi-task/work on multiple regulatory workstreams from inception through implementation and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efforts are synchronized and efficiently coordinated
Tailor standard processes and templates for team to elicit, challenge, and prioritize requirements, and translate into functional design and use case models
Actively participate in automation efforts to enhance the regulatory reporting process and advance business processes and systems analysis, and research and problem solve to define innovative technology solutions
7 years of experience working in IT domain with extensive IT Systems Analysis and Application Management experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Information Science, or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
Experience with at least one of the major regulatory reporting platforms/tools such as Axiom Controller View, Lombard Risk, STB Reporter or BearingPoint
Ability to provide subject matter expertise and technical direction to team members with respect to Regulatory Reporting (FR-Y9C, FR Y-14 A/M/Q, FFIEC 031 etc)
Extensive prior work experience as Analyst, with systems and application management.
Experience working in information technology domain within Banking or Financial Services industry.
Highly proficient with desktop tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Microsoft Project, and technical communication platforms and collaboration tools such as SharePoint or Jira.
Demonstrated writing/editing/proofreading/content development skills, and the ability to gather and present information in an effective and consistent manner, with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
Experience with systems implementation projects.
Experience with development coding and relational database (SQL) queries.
Advanced knowledge and analytical skills of systems integration through web services, ETL, etc.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization.
Experience with production and disaster recovery systems/application support.
Ability to execute and prioritize multiple tasks, initiate and conduct meetings with team and peers.
Able work independently with minimal supervision.
Able to streamline complex requirements to simplify Business Processes.
Experience in recommending best practices for building data visualizations using Tableau.
Strong analytic skills and ability to develop and implement analytical data models and dashboard and reports using Tableau to enable customers to analyze data and make business decisions.
Must be willing to collaborate and engage with a global team which will involve some early morning or late evening meetings
