Summary:
As a member of the Global Procurement & Supply Chain Team, Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for managing supplier relationships and order books ensuring Safran Test Cells meets delivery requirements and customer expectations.
Essential Job Functions:
• Manage a portfolio of Suppliers to ensure business requirements are met.
• Undertake supplier performance analysis and impact reviews.
• Implement action plans, as well as participating in multisite Supplier business reviews
• Work within a cross functional team to ensure successful work package transfers.
• Support effective implementation of Supplier Performance strategy and initiatives.
• Manage internal expectations with key customers to ensure full customer satisfaction
• Analyze, process, confirm, and communicate requirements to the supplier.
• Negotiate dead-lines & quantities to meet business needs.
• Manage inventory and review supplier schedules
• Other duties as assigned
Travel specifictity
• Able and willing to travel up to 50% of the time both domestically and internationally, as required.
Candidate skills & requirements
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in supply chain management experience with exposure to good warehouse management and freight management.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing procurement, domestic and international preferred but not required.
Qualifications:
• Excellent organizational, people management, leadership, and communication skills.
• Experience in negotiations of contracts and agreements with suppliers.
• Strong presentation skills and proven management ability.
• Strong strategic thinking combined with outstanding tactical executive skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive and team player with high standards of performance and personal integrity.
• Knowledge of principles and practices of purchasing and accounting flow cycles.
• Knowledge of purchasing, inventory, and accounting ERP modules.
• Technical aptitude to understand complex products being purchased and interpret engineering drawings.
• Ability to comprehend policies, procedures, and laws related to importing and exporting.
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve and develop alternative solutions when dealing with client issues or emotional topics.
• Highly motivated, able to prioritize and work independently.
• Proven ability to balance risk, effectively influence diverse teams, and take ownership of responsibility for outcomes while fostering a positive team spirit.
• Demonstrated success managing and leading large-scale, complex, multi-discipline projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders and partners.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written with a proven ability to be assertive yet approachable delivering a positive customer service experience both internally and externally.
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills by anticipating problems including problem identification, action planning, and execution.
