Oversees and manages overall supplier capacity for purchased goods and services to meet North America Market demand. Review supplier business operations, assess capacity and business health risks at key and proposed suppliers. Communicates risks to internal functions and helps generate strategies with internal teams based on team inputs. Lead requirement discussions with suppliers to support and mitigate work transfer risks.
Coordinate layered capacity and cost optimization with supply chain, purchasing and global commodity managers.
Coordinate layered capacity related to new product launches or product changes.
Identify and implement short/mid/long term strategies for capacity gaps.
Maintain capacity model database up to date for purchase components.
Work with cross functional teams (demand planning, industrialization, program management, purchasing, supply chain) to understand network/global capacity for Meritor.
Work closely with supplier development engineers and supplier risk management teams to understand supplier capacity risks.
Participate and/or conduct supplier capacity survey validation.
Support Crisis Managements, or special projects.
Ability to travel 25% of the time to supplier sites for capacity validation.

7 years of experience in a similar role
Manufacturing or plant experience desired.

Forging, Heat Treat, Casting, Fabrication, and/or Machining Operations, Development, and Quality experience desired
