Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking Sr. Staff SDE Architect – 9236 to join the Digital Ecosystem (DE). This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program.
The Software Development Environment (SDE) Architect will serve the Sentinel program by defining the SDE and its long-term strategy across all software development. Ensures that the program has the SW development tools in the environment that are compliant to the requirements and able to deliver software to the customer for the life of the Sentinel Program. This role is key in our Digital Transformation and relationship with the customer, as well as pivoting to digital software deliveries for the life of the Sentinel Program. Responsible for removing impediments and ensuring synchronization across teams as the program matures so that the SDE can adapt. Works across the NG Enterprise to help develop priorities for fixes and evolution of the environment. Current priorities/responsibilities impact all other system engineering and software development teams supporting Sentinel to include Northrop Grumman employees, contractors, and government counterparts.
Job Responsibilities:
• Management of SDE strategic vision of integrations and long-term concepts of operations for major business systems for the Sentinel program
• Development of strategic roadmap aligned to business goals and milestones
• Working with Cyber to ensure the security posture of the SDE meets or exceeds requirements.
• Documenting the SDE architecture in line with our MBSE guidance for Sentinel
• Regularly takes a leadership role in providing insight and knowledge transfer to others on internal and external technical solutions to solve complex problems.
• Leveraging emerging technical and architectural concepts with cloud environment and high-power/hyper converged computing technologies
• Provides technical leadership, direction and mentoring to other technical employees in the application of scientific principles, tools and techniques to achieve practical end results.
• Applying new technologies as applicable to the SDE in a coordinated manner
• Work across Sentinel Segments and Customer groups to ensure that our SDE meets their requirements of the Sentinel program.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Salary Range: $154,300 - $231,500
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
