ABOUT THE TEAM
RealPage is looking for a Database Administrator level 4 (Microsoft Sql Server) to support production and non-production environments. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of multiple database management systems in an Enterprise environment to support our many product lines on Microsoft Windows. You will be working with a team of like-minded database administrators reporting to the Director of Database services. You will be supporting some of the largest revenue impacting applications at RealPage.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Senior DBA with extensive experience in Microsoft Sql Server software.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will evaluate and analyze and specify data usage within application areas; define logical views and physical data structures as needed
Work to perform capacity planning for the environment.
Install, configure, and administer Microsoft Sql Server databases in Windows OS.
Code stored procedures, develop internal processes to support automation of DBA tasks.
Perform database development and administration tasks in non-production and production database environments and performance tuning when need to resolve performance issues.
Evaluate and monitor databases to resolve performance issues, minimize data redundancy and support capacity planning.
Create/alter databases; replicate databases; perform day-to-day database administration.
Design implement and support database backup, recovery, and DR procedures.
Perform problem determination (root cause analysis) and document the source of problems and their resolution.
Aid customers and other staff members in resolving errors resulting from the use of applications. Recognize and analyze trends in errors to identify and install long term solutions to problems.
Skill in writing PowerShell scripts to automate database maintenance activities.
Ability to mentor new or junior DBA team members
Create and manage system change controls for operational support
Provide On-Call Support on a rotation basis.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Minimum 12+ years of proven experience of MS Sql Server (2008r2 or above) on Microsoft Windows
At least 2 years’ experience in MS SQL replication
At least 2 years Experience with SQL Always-On and SQL clusters.
Experience in working in an Enterprise environment managing more than 100 servers
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
College degree in computer related field or equivalent experience required.
Develop procedures using SSIS to move data from multi-sources.
Possess and be able to apply knowledge of database principles and practice.
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision and in multi-database environments.
Demonstrate independent project management skills
Ability to lead other DBA’s in project work
