Sr SQL Analyst- Provider Performance and Value Based Care at Health Care Service Corporation in Richardson, TX

This position is responsible for

• Using a reporting platform to creating dashboards, insights, and analytics in support of the Value Based Care division with a specific focus on provider performance;
• Testing data set to the reporting platform in SQL and testing logic requirements within the reporting platform
• assisting providers who engage in VBC contracts with HCSC to gain insights from their cost and utilization data
• creating specifications for dashboard and analysis based on business needs spanning multiple lines of business;
• working with claims-based data;
• providing consultation to users of created dashboards & insights and working on cross-functional teams to address the division's issues;
• performing research and assisting in analyzing data related to the division's strategic initiatives and broader research needs;
• working closely with customers to build relationships;
• continuously gaining a deeper understanding of the division's data in order to meet business needs;
• analyzing complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers;
• identifying and interpreting trends and patterns in datasets to locate areas for improved performance in VBC arrangements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor Degree and 2 year experience in data analysis and information reporting data OR 4 year experience in data analysis and information reporting data.

* Analyze possible solutions using standard procedures to solve routine or basic problems.

* Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.

* Solve complex problems with guidance.

* Produce data sets and reports for analysis using SQL, Excel or other reporting tools.

* Verify accuracy of reports and provide insights.

* Knowledge of SQL, SAS and/or Teradata or other reporting tools / languages.

* Work with both internal and external data

* Work on multiple projects simultaneously, both independently and as part of a team to accomplish goals.

* Learn needed skills by performing assigned work.
