What you’ll be creating:

Be the point person in the creation of our telematics and fleet management software for our electric and hydrogen power semi-trucks of the future!

Collaborate with our software leadership to design and implement internal and external facing telematics/fleet management and process management software.

Produce clean, efficient, reusable code that is unit tested, code reviewed, and adheres to internal code standards.

Own the development and maintenance of critical pieces of our core software stacks.

Mentor and lead other software engineers.

Leverage open-source tools to solve complex problems with efficiency, stability, and portability.

What you “must” already bring to the table:

• BS, MS preferred, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent (and proven) work experience in a software-related field.
• 6+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of Ruby development mastery.
• 4+ years of solid Rails framework know-how.
• Experience working on large and diverse projects
• Expertise with Testing, Minitest, Slim, Sass, etc.
• Vanilla JavaScript skills (ES6)

Additional Profile Characteristic Preferred

• Python, HTML, SQL
• Model–view–controller (MVC) framework.
• Automotive or a related industry a plus
