Job Summary

The candidate will be working within an Agile development team and will be responsible for routing and switching protocol development for use in SDN-NFV environments. Development will combine multiple open source software implementations as well as internal implementations. The candidate must have excellent problem solving and communication skills, and must be self-motivated.

Job Description

  • C language coding at expert level
  • Implementation of new features and bug fixing for whitebox SOS switch/router
  • Implementation of new features and bug fixing for uBNG (Broadband Network Gateway)
  • New features and bug fixing in the areas of:
    • Routing and Switching protocols (such as BGP, OSPF, ISIS, STP, LDP, PIM, RSVP-TE)
    • Internal control plane communication protocols (such as OpenFlow, OVSDB, WS APIs)
    • Linux OS
    • Software Packet forwarding using DPDK
    • Hardware Packet forwarding control APIs (such as Broadcom SDK)
    • Managemement protocols and internal APIs for management

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience with routing and switching protocol development
  • BGP and OSPF desirable
  • Minimum 5 years experience with development in a Linux environment required
  • Expert C language skills required
  • Knowledge and understanding of packet forwarding technology inluding Linux kernel,
  • DPDK, OVS desirable
  • Knowledge and understanding of network concepts including IP, Ethernetrequired
  • Experience with NFV development desirable
  • Development experience with management protocols and models including Yang, Netconf,
  • ReST desirable
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills required
  • Bachelor's degree with typically with 8+ years of experience, or 6+ years of experience with Master's Degree.
