Prepare the financial reporting disclosures to the Bank’s external agencies (SEC, Regulatory) for funded loans, credit quality and CECL/ACL for funded/unfunded portfolios as reported in our external reporting, including 8-k,10-Q/K, Call Report (Schedules, Footnotes, Management Discussion and Analysis) and other statutory financial statements as well as earning releases and investor presentations.
Research and analyze new and existing credit-related accounting and reporting pronouncements, providing guidance on external disclosure requirements. Liaison with the Director of Global Accounting policies to update either Critical Accounting Policies or Significant Accounting Policies related to credit related accounting topics.
Manage communications with external auditors on credit-related disclosures included in the financial statements and credit-related accounting issues to ensure auditor agreement with company decisions on credit-related accounting disclosures and other issues.
Ensure credit policies and procedures related to problem loans are in adherence with Accounting policies, as well as applicable SEC, FASB, and Federal Reserve guidance.
Assist the Advisory Services team to ensure proper accounting and reporting around workouts and troubled borrower evaluations.
Prepare US GAAP and SEC disclosure checklists for credit-related disclosures to ensure compliance of external financial statements and disclosures in accordance with applicable accounting guidance.
Key liaison with credit SOX team and responsible for effectiveness of internal controls where identified as a process owner; implement and maintain reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements.
Work on other special and ad hoc projects in Credit Reporting as required.
At least 6+ years of relevant experience
Proficient in US GAAP and relevant accounting and financial reporting matters with SEC reporting exposure, including specific knowledge and experience with ASC 310 and ASC 326.
Ability to research and propose company positions on complex credit-related accounting and reporting issues
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate ideas and plans clearly and effectively with internal and external audience

High degree of intellectual curiosity combined with immense attention to detail
