The T. Rowe Price Investment RiskTechnology organization is seeking a talented Scrum/Project Manager to join our team based in Baltimore, Maryland. The candidate will ensure agreed working practices are followed for the continuous delivery of valuable software.  He or she must be a champion of strong collaborative software engineering techniques and methods including: agile development, continuous integration, code review, and unit testing. The ideal candidate is a high achiever who can work collaboratively with the Product Owner, Project Lead, and Scrum/Development team to efficiently deliver high quality software solutions supporting the Investment/EnterpriseRisk organization. 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

o   Strongly serves and supports the Product Owner and Development team in their implementation of the Agile software development methodology.

o   Drives best practices in development and delivery through the use of Agile and helps set standards that can be leveraged by other teams within the firm.

o   Supports and educates the Product Owner on grooming and maintaining the product backlog.

o   Provides support to the development team using a servant leadership style (leading by example).

o   Guides/Coaches the Scrum/Development team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values.

o   Conducts release planning, sprint planning, product and sprint backlog grooming, sprint reviews, retrospectives, daily standup meetings, user story development, estimation, and other related activities.

o   Guides/Coaches the Scrum/Development team on how to get the most out of self-organization.

o   Removes impediments or guides the team to remove impediments impacting the team.

o   Facilitates discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.

o   Assists with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and providing information.

o   Strong interpersonal skills; able to establish and maintain a close working relationship with the development team, quantitative analysts, and business associates.

o   Enjoys a fast-paced, high-intensity environment. Works well as part of a team with minimal supervision. Well organized with the ability to manage often-changing priorities.

Required Qualifications

o   Experience in an agile project manager role for at  least two years with a software development team.

o   Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.

o   Excellent communication and mentoring skills

o   Basic understanding of Investment Management principles.

Preferred Qualifications

o   BS/MSdegree in Business Management, Financial Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science or some otherquantitative field of study

o   Experience in an agileproject management role for at least two years for a software development team.

o   Experience being on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc)

o   Track record of continued and recent education in Agile methodologies, including training, conferences, user groups, self-study, etc.

o   Knowledge of other approaches discussed in the Agile space: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.

o   Knowledge and/or experience with Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.

o   Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team.

o   Previous experience as a collaborative leader.

o   Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (2008 or later preferred) including Reporting Services (SSRS)

o   Some knowledge of Relational Database Concepts and Designpreferred.

o   Knowledge of equity or fixed income investment vehicles

o   Some relevant experience in the financial industry

o   Subject matter expertise or strong interest in investment risk analysis
