  • Design, test, optimize RFcircuits and PCB layouts to meet and exceed customer performance and reliability expectations
  • Match transmitter RF output ports to its transmission line
  • Measure and tune antenna resonance and matching
  • Ensure products meet worldwide regulatory RF emissions and EMC requirements
  • Create product RF test plans and review RF test data to validate designs
  • Prepare product RF test reports for customers
  • Lead and contribute to product schematic and layout design reviews
  • Troubleshoot, problem solve, teach, mentor and lead
  • Lead and contribute to strategic engineering and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Be the subject matter expert for our RF technologies

Minimum Skills and Experience

  • Self-motivated, innovative and persistent
  • A creative problem solver
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering, MSpreferred
  • 5+ years’ experience developing RFcircuits for consumer products
  • Experience in measurement of RF parameters such as conducted fundamental and harmonic power, adjacent channel rejection, receiver sensitivity, return loss, S Parameters, etc.
  • Good understanding of RF blocks including crystal oscillators; transmitters; receivers; transmission lines; matching networks; simple dipole, monopole and chip antennas
  • Proficient with ECAD tools for schematic entry, impedance matching, EM and circuit simulation, PCB design and Monte Carlo analysis
  • Hands-on bench skills such as soldering and use of hand tools, DMM, RF signal generators, RF power meter, spectrum and network analyzers
  • Experience writing scripts for basic RF test software
  • Teamwork oriented with strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Knowledge of RF and communications protocols for BLE and BT Classic, RF4CE, ZigBee, Wi-Fi, Z-Wave, Sub-GHz a plus
  • Working knowledge of common computer tools including MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Dipole, monopole, PIFA and chip antenna, simulation, design, measurement and optimization skills a major plus
  • Low-level programming, advanced math and statistical analysis skills are also a plus.
