Responsibilities:

  • Identifies quality improvement opportunities and plays a leadership role in continuous improvement efforts through Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing Tools and methodologies
  • Responsibility for implementation of recommended Quality control site projects
  • Leading the Quality Assurance and Quality Control Programs for construction of new equipment and repair of existing equipment assets in support of the site Mechanical Integrity Program
  • Develops standardized procedures and work processes for inspecting and auditing equipment construction and repair to ensure compliance withengineering standards
  • Conducts and directs auditing activities during equipment repair and new construction to ensure all aspects of quality requirements are met including adherence to Engineering Specifications, meeting needed service levels, and timely resolution of issues
  • Work as part of a cross functional Turn Around Team to implement sound QA/QC principles into the scope of work and serve as an in process auditor
  • Develop and implement Reliability Control Plans
  • Effectively influence Reliability Leaders, Execution Leaders, Capital Project Managers, and Plant Managers as well as Planners, Supervisors, and hourly workforce to meet site QA/QC objectives

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • BS. degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5years mechanical maintenance experience in industries such as, Chemical, Pulp & Paper, Petro-Chemical, or Pharmaceutical, in direct support of chemical manufacturing facilities
  • 5years of experiencewith application and implementation of RAGAGEP associated withinspection, repair, maintenance, and new construction of equipment in such industries as Chemical, Pulp & Paper, Petro-Chemical, or Pharmaceutical, in direct support of chemical manufacturing facilities1622

 

Additional Qualifications:

 

  • Nation Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors In Service (IS) commissioned inspector preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to generate & implement work process improvements Preferred
  • Strong skills in use of SAP-PM; Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Meridium (asset performance management)
  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineering (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of design, fabrication, and repair codes and standards (e.g. NBIC (National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors), ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers), API (American Petroleum Institute), ASNT (American Society of Non-destructible Testing), NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers), PIP (Process Industry Practices)) preferred
  • Experience in use ultra sonics, infrared, and vibration as part of a PM/PdM work process
  • Strong organizational skills are essential to manage priorities, enable site implementation leaders to manage logistics, and to manage the “pull” of services from multiple sites
  • Must be competent/proficient using Six Sigma tools and Lean Concepts for business process improvement
  • Highly motivated, self-directed individual with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of reliability based maintenance experiencepreferred
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills preferred
