The Sr. Regional Finance Manager, Special Projects is a key member of the East Region Finance Team. This position must handle multiple special projects in a rapidly changing, fast paced environment with frequent direct interaction with Commercial and Operational teams in the region as their business partners, as well as centralized corporate teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides insights, financial analyses and recommendations to support special projects such as acquisitions, system and process conversions, footprint and network optimizations  

Prepares financial forecasts and budgets based on acquired business insights

Manages tracking of actuals against budgeted and forecasted levels

Ensures integrity of financialreporting processes

Business partner to General Manager, VP Operations and RVP Commercial enabling effective management of special projects in the region

Provides advisory financial consulting to the senior business leaders on various financial matters including in-depth analysis of business cases, financial and operational modeling

Develops metrics and benchmarks to measure key initiatives and support real-time business decisions

Models long-term three statement financials in support of potential transactions and transaction-related due diligence analysis

Analyzes and evaluates financial and operational data and makes recommendations to put a fact base behind analytical frameworks and to enhance business processes and profitability

Education:A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or  Analytical Field, MBA strongly preferred

Work Experience:
·  7+ years of experience in finance, strategy or highly analytical field
·  Direct supervisory experience strongly preferred
·  Demonstrated experience in the application of analytical methods of addressing business issues, with an
emphasis on decision support analysis  Other:· Highly self-motivated to “make a difference” and act as a change agent
· Comfortable working in a matrix organization with cross-functional teams with no direct reporting
relationship
· Capable of deploying and articulating strategic solutions to prospective business challenges
· Demonstrates a strong knowledge of operational and financial processes and practical application of financial and strategic analysis
· Excellent process and project management skills
· Demonstrated time-management and multi-tasking skills coupled with a keen ability to prioritize assignments
· Advanced modeling skills in Microsoft Excel
· Expert knowledge of PowerPoint and preparing presentations
· Comfort with multi-dimensional databases, financial ERP systems, data mining and analytics
