Responsibilities:

  • Assess and update quality systems, procedures, methods and processes for raw materials and processed products
  • Ensure conformance to all requirements of the Quality Management System for SQF 2000 certification
  • Enforce safety rules and practices, safe work behaviors, correcting unsafe conditions and behavior
  • Establish and maintain the HACCP system
  • Monitor and maintain the corrective and preventive action program
  • Respond to customer quality complaints
  • Manage Food Safety, GMP and plant hygiene programs
  • Ensure GFSI standards and requirements are met
  • Oversee pest control program
  • Meet HACCP and quality expectations through audit and inspection
  • Monitor and control expenses to meet budget
  • Reports to Director of Quality

Education:   4-year degree required; Food Science, Microbiology, or related disciplines.
 
Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in food, fermentation or pharmaceutical industries
  • Total Quality Management
  • HACCP
  • SQF or FSSC 22000
  • SPC
  • Analysis
  • PCQI certified
