Growing Semiconductor company is looking for a Sr Quality Engineer or Sr Product Engineer to be a key interface between the company's business units and automotive customers and/or field sales team supporting automotive customers. Will take ownership and prepare responses to non-standard customer questions and requests (NSCARs) which will involve gathering, organizing, and presenting information from diverse parts of the company. Will drive continuous improvement within the manufacturing and product groups in response to customer problems and communicate those actions in a manner that non-semiconductor and non-company people can understand. Will provide guidance and direction to product development teams attempting to meet automotive requirements, such as design for test, reliability robustness, outlier detection during test, Q100 qualification, and PPAP documentation.
Work closely with Corporate and Field Quality team to address customer factory and field failures.
Review and approve Product Change Notices and respond to customer requests for more information regarding those changes. Opportunity for leadership of small teams, both within the company as well as cross functional teams. 20-30% international and domestic travelrequired.
Bachelor?s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
3 years of direct customer interaction experience
5 years of direct semiconductorexperience with automotive products and applications
Strong experience with automotive quality standards (Q100, 8D, PPAP) and audits
Master?s degree in engineering discipline
5 years of direct customer interaction experience
10 years of direct semiconductorexperience
Any experience with European or Asian languages a plus.
