About the Team
VIZIO is looking for Quality Assurance team members to be responsible for proactive test planning and overseeing testing of various VIZIO advanced products; reporting and tracking issues related to product versions; coordinating with the product development team thru test assignment, TestRails; review and follow-up per JIRA and internal process; audit test results daily and fill in the gap to ensure full product validation is performed.
This position specializes in data analysis reviews on new software in both feature releases, updates and full firmware releases. It will require cross site coordination with both Data scientists and internal Data Lake teams.
What You Will Do
- Configure and test electronic assemblies.
- Run SQL queries against test units to validate data analytics that are required for the release of products.
- Run SQL queries against test units to validate the integrity of existing data requirements.
- Execute against prepared test plans defined in our Test Rails Projects.
- Provide detailed reports of any issues encountered, including specific steps to reproduce the observed issue.
- Act as a support resource at the direction of product development.
- Assist software and hardware development activities, including installing and testing software.
- Help troubleshoot issues.
- Assist with the communication of issues and device behavior and support with the Vizio support organization.
- Periodically support other general needs of the development organization, including asset setup, configuring equipment for trade shows and sales support, and assisting the outward facing Quality Control organization as necessary.
About You
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED. College degree is not required.
- You are able to effectively document and troubleshoot errors.
- You have a keen eye for detail and patience to track down difficult issues.
- Understanding of programming language including SQL for data pulls and C++/C# for reading data logs from devices.
- Understanding of AWS pipelines and BI tools for data visualization.
- You possess an analytical mind, critical-thinking skills, and problem-solving aptitude.
- You have strong organizational skills and can meticulously follow detailed steps.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You are able to work collaboratively across different divisions.
- You are able to drive issues and deliver quality results with a great deal of autonomy.
- You ideally have previous experience with sample small or large data sets or product testing/evaluation.
