Sr QA Engineer – Product Engineering

About this role…

NWEA is looking for a Sr QA Engineer to join a newly developed scrum team, that will lead the charge in how our tests are administered in the classroom. This team will be made up of 5 people, with the goal of moving to a fully functional CI/CD pipeline in the next 12 months. This individual should have strong leadership/communication skills and be able to succeed in roles where they are asked to problem solve and find solutions when they hit a roadblock.

Candidate must have a strong automation background that’s focused primarily on the client side of the application. Experience with JavaScript, Selenium, and modern frontend frameworks is a must. Experience with AWS in a production environment is a big plus.

Must haves…

  • Experience automating applications using Selenium. Exposure to Nightwatch, Cypress.io or similar UI testing tools is a plus
  • Experience in establishing a CI/CD pipeline
  • Experience in End-to-End testing
  • Experience working in small nimble teams

Education and Experience…

  • 2-5 years of experience in automation testing
  • Experience reviewing requirements for testability and clarity
  • Minimum B.S. degree in computer science or a related field; or equivalent work experience and/or education in lieu of a degree
