Job Summary
The Senior Project Director – Intelligent Process Automation will be the primary point of accountability for working with key business functions as the Intelligent Process Automation organization partners with operations to reimagine Travelers business operations. Specifically, this position will work closely with operations’ business partners across the Travelers organization to identify the appropriate levers to achieve more effective and efficient operations.

These levers will include emerging automation technologies, such as robotics process automation, as well as process engineering, and outsourcing. As these levers are identified the Senior Project Director will partner with the appropriate technical and process engineering areas to initiate, plan and ensure execution of these strategic projects. This roles report to the 2nd Vice President – Intelligent Process Automation. The Senior Project Director will act as a champion for the new organization, promoting it to business area leaders.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
The Sr. Project Director controls planning and execution of the Projects’ or Program’s activities and resources to ensure that established cost, time, and quality goals are met. The Sr. Project Director works with minimal supervision and is responsible for applying advanced Project Management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to Project deliverables, processes, and systems in order to meet or exceed stakeholder needs and expectations. The Sr. Project Director operates within defined parameters using a proven Project Management Methodology with flexibility to merge different methodologies in accomplishing collective goals.

Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required. 5 years of project management experiencerequired.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. 9 years of project management experiencepreferred. 3 years of experience managing others and/or project teams preferred.

Experience with Business and Personal Property Casualty Insurance strongly preferred
Experience working with outsourced resources preferred
Exposure to process reengineering a plus
