We are looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager to own and drive strategic projects within our Core Recommendations and Services team.

In this role you will partner with product, engineering and data science partners to build, test and evolve ML models and front-end features that deliver increasingly personalized book recommendations to our customers. You will develop systems and services to scale personalization artifacts, enabling teams across Books to personalize every customer interaction. The right candidate is highly analytical, will demonstrate strong business judgement and understand the science concepts (algorithms) powering personalization experiences. The role is both strategic and operational, and is a great fit for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and can think big while diving into the details to execute flawlessly. Successful candidates will have a track record of delivering technology products in a distributed and matrixed organization, through strong product management and problem-solving skills, and the ability to motivate, influence and collaborate effectively with global stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities

• \tOwn and manage a portfolio of books recommendation strategies, including tracking, optimizing and reporting on their performance.
• \tHelp define product strategy and manage the product roadmap (both directly for the Core Recommendations team and within the broader Customer Engagement organization).
• \tEnable teams across the Books organization to create personalized experiences for customers by building and scaling personalization systems and services.
• \tCommunicate with senior management and other business/technical partners on product decisions, key results and durable learnings, program status and risks
• \tOperate with significant autonomy to deliver results and achieve the goals and objectives of both your team and the broader organization.
