The Product Manager is responsible for both product planning and product marketing of applicable product lines. This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, to deliver winning products. It also includes working with business development, sales, marketing and customer support to ensure price, volume, market share and customer satisfaction goals are met. As a key member of the team driving the new product launch process, this position also ensures the product and marketing efforts support the company?s overall strategy and goals.

? Define the product strategy and roadmap via multi-generation product/technology plans. Develop the core positioning, value proposition and messaging for the product.
? Be an expert with respect to the products, applications, competition and the markets through use of available tools and resources.
? Lead in the analysis and development of opportunities for products, services, and applications in the global markets.
? Deliver business cases and product requirements with prioritized features and corresponding justification.
? Works withsales to establish pricing through the analyses over competitive comparison, pricing trends, and marketing requirements.
? Create product presentations in support of sales and develop sales tools and collateral.
? Brief and train the sales force at quarterly sales meetings.
? Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization.
? Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities.
? Create and manage effective training programs (e.g. product installation, application, service and troubleshooting) and technical solutions documentation.
? Deliver a monthly sales forecast and be a critical part of a monthly S&OP process.
? Propose an overall budget to ensure success.
? Assist in the AHRI certification testing process including all interaction with respect to product development, testing and local code issues.
? Manages and supports ancillary products, parts, and accessories related to assigned product line(s).
? Participation on global conference calls outside normal working hours.
? Up to 25% travel (including international), as required. ? Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion with business information.
? Manages direct reports related to performance and essential job duties, where applicable. ? Interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor?s Degreerequired (MBA Preferred). Experience: Minimum 10 years experience. At least 5years of experience in HVAC related or industrial/commercial construction. Experience as a Product/Marketing Manager required. Computer Skills: Skilled with MS Office Suite.
