Key responsibilities include: 

  • Lead Elkay’s home center plumbing business team in the development and execution of our home center business strategy for sinks and faucets. 
  • Collaborate daily with home center sales management team and key cross-functional business stakeholders in the execution of all home center business initiatives.
  • Create home center customer multi-year product roadmaps.
  • Design and proactively steward product assortments for optimal mix of features, benefits and price points that insure best competitive value at lowest possible cost. 
  • Lead the team in the development and execution of home center specific new product development projects and product derivatives.
  • Collaborate with our Customer Insights team to drive market research efforts in support of home center business plans.
  • Lead team in the development and implementation of home center promotional strategies.
  • Support Elkay brand marketing team in creating marketing programs and content that drive awareness and sales of Elkay sink and faucet products sold thru the home center channel.
  • Lead team in the development and execution of product line reviews.
  • Analyze and review home center business performance vs. goals.  Proactively lead team in identifying and addressing performance gaps.
  • Develop and present quarterly business performance reviews to Elkay leadership team and  home center customer management teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related studies is required; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years overall product management experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience managing products sold thru big box retailers required. 
  • Prior channel marketing and / or sales experience a plus.
  • Possesses a “general manager” mindset.  Wants to manage a business, not just products.
  • Demonstrated success in the following:
    • Leading cross-functional teams in the development and launch of new products and product derivatives.
    • Developing and presenting comprehensive business proposals at big box retailer line reviews. 
    • Developing compelling product assortments that offer best-in-category value.
    • Stewarding assortments to insure lowest possible cost based on customer requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.    
  • Excellent presentation skills with ability to tailor messaging to a variety of audiences.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across all levels and functions within the organization.
  • Able to travel up to 20% of time.
