The Senior Product Line Manager is responsible for overseeing the Bisco & Industrial Poron product lines and the global Channel networks through which these products are primarily sold. Direct responsibility for the General Industrial market segment for these two product lines and will work withother segment leaders for automotive and mass transportation segments. Develop and execute the overall market strategy & plans consistent with the overall strategy for the EMS Division and Rogers’ Corporate objectives. Manages new product pipeline, pricing, promotion and channel to achieve overall financial and market objectives. Oversees a team of individuals and will be responsible for their success and development.
Strategic & tactical planning: Oversight of strategic planning for Bisco and Industrial Poron product lines, global General Industrial market segment for these two product lines and global PC channel (from marketing perspective). Setting of annual objectives and plans for the above and monitoring their execution. Work with segment leaders who work across product lines (automotive and mass transportation with others possibly to be added) on strategic and annual planning to ensure Bisco and Industrial Poron opportunities are being identified and delivered. Work with region leaders, sales teams and customers to ensure the achievement of revenue and profit objectives
Team development: Manage and develop a global team of product and segment managers. Ensure they are setting stretch goals consistent with the goals of the overall team and monitor the achievement of these objectives, assisting them as needed. Ensure coordination across global team members developing the right balance of global consistency and local flexibility. Ensure high potential team members have clear development goals and monitor their development.
Product Line Management & Development: Assist product managers on the team as needed in managing the Bisco and Industrial Poron product line life cycles including all elements of revenue and profit growth, business planning, execution and reporting
Segment management & co-ordination: Assist global GI segment leaders on the team as needed in developing GI opportunities throughout the global customer base. Supports and guides Rogers’ sales staff in managing the global PC network. Develop and maintain guidelines for the PC network. Monitor adherence of individual PCs to the goals and requirements of the network. Grow and prune the network as needed in conjunction with regional leadership to ensure the PC network remains vibrant and supportive of the Bisco and Industrial Poron product lines . Support the PCs with sales tools, leads, technical support etc. to drive their growth and maintain a mutually beneficial relationship with them. Participate in global PC Advisory Councils
Pricing: Responsible for implementing pricing strategy for Bisco and Industrial Proron and supporting product managers in its implementation. Recommend pricing strategies for new products.
Competitive Intelligence: Responsible for monitoring competitor activity for managedproduct lines, segments and channels
Required Education and Experience:
BS Engineering/Science or BS Business/Marketing
Minimum of 10 years industrial product line management (or combination of product management and technical salesexperience)
Experience working across global markets especially China and Western Europe
Preferred Education and Experience:
Experience with similar product, market, or industry
Market research/analysis experience
Project management experience
