Job Description

The Primary Law Product Development team is looking for a Sr. Product Developer. Strong candidates will have the ability to effectively set strategy and direction for new and existing products, in addition to supporting and communicating design and business requirements for new and existing products from concept through final production. They will know how to collaborate with all project team members and project stakeholders to ensure the development ofconsistent, effective, user-friendly Primary Law products. Successful candidates will be able tointeract with other team members and wider cross-functional teams (technology, editorial, operations, marketing, product management, content management).

Primary Law Product Management is seeking a Sr. Product Developer to join its organization. The main responsibilities of the position include:

Lead the design, development and launch of new products

Provide expert guidance on global product and content strategy

Identify, analyze, and evaluate new content opportunities and sources

Create customer-driven product designs and functional specifications to ensure that product features address market needs

Monitor and manage project tasks, project status updates and periodic communication toManagement

Write effective business requirements and comprehensive acceptance criteria for new products and enhancements to existing products

Gather and track customer feedback, including market research

Present new features and enhancements to internal and external audiences

Maintain proper level of documentation necessary to assess project status; ensure satisfaction and quality with project deliverables

Participate with cross-functional teams developing new content, features and enhancements

Assist in the support and maintenance of existing products, including triage and escalation ofissues based on customer impact

Qualifications:

4-year college degree required

J.D or M.B.A preferred

3-5 years of Product Development or Product Management experience

Knowledge of Westlaw, Westlaw Edge, and other electronic legal information resources

Familiarity with Thomson Reuters, Lexis and Bloomberg products

Strong working knowledge of technology and/or online electronic publishing.

Product development and/or product management experience are a plus.

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to work in cross-functional teams, including programmers, marketing, finance and content operations

Ability to multi-task in a quickly changing environment

Knowledge & Experience

Proven ability to prioritize multiple, complex projects simultaneously, while adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced, service-driven environment

Proven track record setting strategy, and developing, delivering, and documenting use cases and product requirements preferred

Confidence in working with strong, passionate, fast-paced team environment.
