Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead and/or support departments and teams to drive process improvement engagements, including the creation of current and future state scenarios, perform gap analysis and change management
  • Execute data collection via myriad formats, including research, one-on-one interviews or focus groups and work with Business Unit Leaders to install improvements
  • ApplyLEANSix Sigma methodologies (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control) to assess current operating procedures and envision future state
  • Drive process standardization and repeatability via appropriate policy and process documentation
  • Comprehend and demonstrate proficiency with all aspects and concepts of LEANSix Sigma methodologies (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control)
  • Explain LEANSix Sigma philosophies and principles to all levels of the organization, including supporting tools and systems
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in team leadership, comprehend team dynamics and assign team member roles and responsibilities
  • Identify non value added elements and activities by using specific tools and clearly communicate results to all workforce levels
  • Display advanced proficiency with software that is centered on process management and statistical data, including Minitab, JMP or QI Macros
  • Identify, plan, execute, install and hand over productive outputs in the form of measurable gains and display full leadership expertise that influences others and allows colleagues to accept change
  • Act as mentor, teacher, coach, identifier and influencer to fellow Process Engineers and colleagues
  • Ensure appropriate disciplines are applied in the application of LEANSix Sigma; analyze relevant data to ensure fact based decisions are made
  • Serve as project lead on projects which have multiple subject projects and project managers assigned
  • Provide program management expertise; including leading various highly complex projects which align to strategic or enterprise-level initiatives
  • Provide assistance and support in the attainment of the annual strategies; assist with departmental and corporate-level strategic initiatives and presentations for the Board of Directors and senior management 
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in the seven (7) basic quality tools for process improvement to help the organization understand their processes and improve them
  • Mentor team members on LEANSix Sigma methodology and project management
  • Educate other department personnel as appropriate and emphasize the techniques of productivity
  • Discover/find areas of waste, duplication, inefficiency and manual effort
  • Be an advocate for LEANSix Sigma tools and strategies


Experience:  Seven (7) years of business experience with specific experiences in support of re-engineering and productivity.  Experience in financial industry strongly preferred.  

Education:  Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in a technical (science or engineering) field or business (finance).  Six SigmaBlack Belt certification.
