Minimum Requirements:

B.S. in Chemical Engineering required. 5+ years of experience out of a PSM-regulated chemical or petrochemical background performing process optimization and production support. An ideal candidate would have experience with as many of the following as possible: DCS controls, regulatory practices, reactors, SPC, data analysis, operator training, participating in HAZOP studies, developed P&ID's, written MOC's, design through installation of projects including process design diagrams, and the ability to work and select vendors.

Job Description:

Our international client is a PSM regulated producer of batch reacted specialty chemicals. They have production facilities in MO, VA, China and Europe, with this site in Houston employing 150 people. The chemical engineers at this site will wear several hats and have responsibilities including process optimization, troubleshooting instrumentation, process improvement, production support, data analysis, operator training, develop safety procedures, DCS programming, design through installation of small projects including process design, using SPC, and relief supervision as needed. There is great advancement potential to step into an operations and production supervisor role. This company offers a pension and relocation assistance.
