Job Summary: Senior principal trainers work with the training manager and application coordinators to develop and maintain the training program for their application. Works collaboratively with healthcare professionals and organizational leaders to integrate and evaluate information systems training needs. Works with directors and department managers on systems related training planning and project prioritization. Supports the essential processes of sustaining and improving operational and system performance based on known and potential trends in the healthcare industry.
Job Requirements: Capacity to manage multiple competing objectives and to communicate results in clear and unambiguous terms. Ability to lead others and clearly communicate the importance of training to all stakeholders in the project. Experience with adult education, instructional design and curriculum delivery. Strong organizational and coordination skills. Ability to develop and adhere to time schedules in order to meet project deadlines and to sequence activities logically. Interpersonal skills at a level to function well in a wide range of administrative, management and patient care environments. Regular need to work effectively with wide range of very senior to very junior individuals under training project and ad hoc conditions. Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and assignments accurately within a set time frame and to function under stressful situations in a calm and rational manner. Knowledge of and the ability to use PC-based word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software to create teaching/learning materials and documentation. Excellent knowledge of the English grammar and spelling for use in both verbal and written communication.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in specialty or Education preferred with 7+ years' health care related experience. A proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Skill and experience in adult education. A detailed understanding of workflows and system configuration. Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Experience in project management and process improvement methodologies.
