Raytheon Technologies is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer for the Raptor Task Order.
The Customer is seeking a Systems Engineer to support business operations transition and innovation within the Customers cloud-based environments. The Systems Engineer will work with multiple projects within the Customers production, development, and test environments, and will additionally work on the development and refinement of strategic systems planning, business information planning, and cost analysis for the Customers technical systems. The Systems Engineer will also provide support for virtual and hardware-based networking solutions, including architecture, management, and auditing/reporting.
The Systems Engineer must have an understanding of the big data challenge. The Systems Engineer will work in a mixed technical environment and maintain productivity when switching between projects, business processes, and/or technologies. The Systems Engineer must communicate with development and O&M teams within and externally to the Customer and outside organizations.
Demonstrated experience with network concepts, best practices, and technologies, including (but not limited to): access control lists, advanced routing protocols, traffic engineering, and policy based routing.
Demonstrated experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including (but not limited to): virtual routers, switches, firewalls, virtual machines, and operating systems.
Demonstrated experience as a technical lead, systems engineer, and program manager for cloud-based systems, networks, and applications solutions.
Demonstrated experience with network virtualization.
Demonstrated experience configuring and troubleshooting management traffic and site-to-site VPNs on Juniper firewalls and Cisco routers.
Demonstrated experience in full life-cycle systems engineering: design, configuration, implementation, and management.
Demonstrated experience testing operating system upgrades and deploying updates to production environments and devices.
Demonstrated experience using monitoring tools to diagnose and troubleshoot network issues.
Profession certifications through Cisco systems.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an IT-related field with ten (10) years of minimum experience is required OR eighteen (18) years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
