alliantgroup, LP is a national tax consulting firm that works with mid-market companies to identify federal tax credits that are available to them. We educate them on how, why and how much they can receive. We save them thousands to millions of dollars that they typically use to reinvest back into their companies - create more jobs, expand their business, develop new products, etc. 

The Sr. New Business Development Director is responsible for lead generation and qualification, calling C-level executives and CPA firms, proposal development and presentation, follow-up and closing of prospective clients with the goal of winning new business across the United States.

Primary Objectives & Responsibilities

  • Daily research and lead generation to target and qualify potential clients, strategic cold calling, creation of proposals and value propositions
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a finely tuned sense of client objectives and value drivers to C-Suite stakeholders and their CPAs
  • Ability to focus initial conversations not on the features and benefits but on insight in order to secure new clients and truly bring a unique and educational perspective to the stakeholders on their business
  • Exceed revenue expectations
  • Proactively record all account activity within CRM database (Salesforce)
  • Actively participates in new business development planning sessions by consulting within a team-based work environment to ensure the identification of quality opportunities
  • Identification and participation in industry events




  • No tax background is required
  • 3+ years' experience selling short-cycle consultative services; staffing services, payroll services, HR outsourcing, IT/Software solutions or business consulting services to C-Suite contacts and decision makers of small to mid-market companies
  • Track record of over-achieving quota
  • Strong phone presence and experience dialing 50+ calls per day
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills in a variety of consultative settings, including demonstrated experience with C-level executives or business owners
  • Experience working in a fast-paced high performance environment
  • Thrive in a competitive, entrepreneurial environment with a 24/7 mentality
  • Ability to travel domestically 50% of the time
