Summary:  The Pricing Steward leads the coordination and implementation of global pricing standards, business rules, and policies (including inter-company pricing). This role also manages base prices and certain pricing conditions within SAP, and supports the preparation and implementation of large price changes.  This role will support the broader MDM organization on all SOX controls and routine operational metrics reviews.  

The Pricing Steward must be proficient in the dynamics of all cross functional systems in terms of process relationships, performance, accuracy and time sensitivity. As well, it is important that the Pricing Steward understands and can guide the organization on pricing implications under the US requirements found in Sarbanes-Oxley and Robinson-Patman Acts


Major Duties/Responsibilities:  

Enterprise Master Data Steward for Pricing Policies within SAP: 

The Enterprise Data Steward assists with the management of the company's data assets in order to improve and maintain timeliness and quality of the data. The Enterprise Data Steward provides the specialist viewpoint when representing enterprise data initiatives.

? Drive global consistency in enterprise Pricing data structures

? Facilitate global pricing policies and procedures including pricing conditions, price changes, inter-company pricing and Financal Planning support.

? Specific to the US business (and associated Business Units), responsible for Sarbanes Oxley and Robinson-Patman controls.


?Supports Data Steward Network by acting as ?first line of defense? in fielding opportunities to improve data quality as well as resolving data issues.

? Interface with Business and IT team members, taking a lead role in the analysis, research, and resolution of master data issues specific to the Product/Materials domain

? Lead the development of data definitions, business rules and processes that support and enforce data quality standards

Continuous Improvement

? Targets opportunities to improve data quality, policy, and processes, and ownership. 

? Develops and performs independent data quality analyses relevant to their assigned area of stewardship.

Monitoring of Quality

? Identifies root causes of data quality problems within their assigned area of stewardship and identifies sustainable solutions.

Deployment and Troubleshooting

? Ensures Data Steward Network are kept informed of changes in data standards and processes.

 Informs new Data Stewards on proper use of data under their management.

Pricing Data Management (US/Canada): 

Create, review, update and delete product/material master pricing attributes for all US and Canada business units within SAP and related systems. Before creation of a new record in the SAPmaster views, assure all data has been reviewed, validated and approved from the various business entities. If applicable, facilitate any customer specific product indentification during pricing set-up. Provide reporting and analytical support as needed.  

SOX coordinator for the MDM group:

Facilitate routine reviews of all controls (both Pricing and non-Pricing related) for which the MDM team is either the control or process owner.  Coordinate the required improvements of these controls to ensure compliance with Global Control and Policy expectations. Coordinate a review of quarterly/annual compliance requirements with the control and process owner to ensure timely and accurate Certifications. 

National Pricing Support:Support all steps for the preparation and implementation of large material pricing changes primarily for the US business but also for other large Intl businesses 

Metrics Coordinator: coordinate the monthly metrics for the MDM group. Drive continuous improvement within the operational activities of the team through metrics.  


Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:

?Experience in data cleansing, classification and coding of transactions preferred

? Advanced PCM and SAP skills (Master Data, Order to Cash, Inter-company accounting)

? Moderate database skills

? Strong communication skills

? Analytical thinker


Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: 

Education: Four year college degree in accounting/finance. CPA is a plus 

Experience: 6-8years work experience in the field or related area

2-3years work experience in SAP Master Data
