Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Strategic Marketing, responsibilities include overseeing the market assessment of existing, adjacent and new market opportunities, evaluation of pricing strategies, channel development, and business development activities. Responsible for developing strategic plans as well as detailed marketing plans for the company.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Creates, manages, coordinates, and executes all company marketing strategies consistent with corporate objectives
  • Performs detailed market analysis including industry structure, segment size, growth opportunities, competitive landscape, profitability assessments, and product/company positioning
  • Develops strategies and detailed plans which capitalize on prioritized market opportunities
  • Develops and manages the program activities, budgets and business justification
  • Leads the development of new business opportunities
  • Develop market and customer insights through Voice of Customer and/or Voice of Market activities
  • Works with sales and subsidiaries to implement business development activities consistent with growth objectives of the company
  • Provide support and training to business units for marketing planning and strategic planning
  • Perform detailed competitive analyses in order to determine existing and future threats/opportunities
  • Represents the company at various community and/or business meetings to promote the company
  • Participates in the preparation, issuance, and delivery of marketing materials, exhibits, and promotion programs
  • Promotes positive relations with vendors and distributors.
  • Establishes and implements short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, and 10 years of relevant experience, 5+ years in a senior level marketing position
  • Experience in strategic planning, marketing planning and product marketing
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management
  • The ability to develop and articulate a vision and strategy in a way that inspires and motivates a team and focuses their energy on achieving business goals
  • The ability to manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding timeframes
  • Strong business acumen and an in-depth understanding of the marketing and financial implications of new business opportunities
  • Experience with the implementation of growth, new business development and marketing initiatives that lead to greater market penetration
  • Domestic and International travel 25%
  • Requires professional presentation, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
