Acquisition 75%

  • Lead the development and evolution of our new member acquisition strategy to meet or exceeding yearly acquisition targets
  • Create and manage the yearly acquisition plan setting CPA goals to a yearly budget
  • Manage our search and display agencies through yearly budget setting, quarterly business reviews and weekly calls to manage on-going campaigns
  • Create, implement and manage media testing strategies to deliver best in class creative utilizing direct marketing principles and facilitate shared learning among vendors
  • Track and analyze business results to identify key trends, and develop strategies to mitigate against challenges or capitalize on opportunities
  • Uncover best channels to drive the best quality members
  • Continually investigate and develop new acquisition channels and partnerships that enable SCENE to reach targeted customer segments

Social Management: 25%

  • Develop social media channels and programs to increase SCENE's social media engagement across communities, with focus on targeted segments
  • Develop and manage the social media content strategy
  • Guide the Marketing Assistant on community management including escalation process
  • Develop a Social Media KPI dashboard to monitor the health of our social media channels and understand their impact on key business metrics


  • Prepare and manage marketing budget, track expenses and provide monthly updates
  • Proactively share best practices and learning with peers and partners
  • Lead and coach a direct report who is responsible for day-to-day acquisition program management, social community management, and administrative functions supporting the SCENE office


  • Proven track record in managing media planning, acquisition strategies driving to meet CPA goals
  • Results focused. You live and breathe KPIs, have a deep understanding of the value of test & learn, and push for continual optimization
  • Big picture strategic thinker with the ability to analyze/ interpret data and translate into actionable results
  • Tech savvy, understands the emerging social and digital landscape
  • Exceptional execution skills, willing to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done
  • Knowledge of the loyalty program sector, and its unique challenges
  • Strong program management skills with experience concurrently executing multiple projects, on time and on budget
  • Positive disposition with the ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams that cut across reporting levels and skills/competencies
  • Strong relationship-building skills with experience providing clear direction to internal and external marketing partners, including consultants, advertising and media agencies and other third party partners
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Minimum 5 years of experience driving new customer acquisition
  • Previous Agency Account Management experience would be considered an asset
