As our Senior Manufacturing Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing accounting activities and for providing data-driven insights and analytics for our Architectural Specialties (AS) business, with focus on manufacturing finance.
Successful candidates will encompass the ability to communicate financial concepts clearly and concisely and must be flexible and adaptable in order assist the broader finance team during periods of acquisition, integration, and general peak work requirements. Based at our headquarters in Lancaster, PA, this role is structured as a developmental opportunity and designed to provide the successful candidate with experience collaborating with decision makers and gaining insight regarding the financial activities critical to our business success.
What you'll be doing
Prepare and distribute actionable reporting and analysis
Assist AS Finance in partnering with business leaders to aggregate data and variance analysis for order intake, order backlog, sales performance, and SG&A spending
Aid in the development and implementation of quarterly estimates, annual budgets, and annual strategic plans
Perform financial analysis and reporting for both income statement and balance sheet activities
Develop and maintains cost models for multiple manufacturing facilities
Provide support for NPD initiatives via financial modeling
Assist with M&A integration activities including measurement of financial performance relative to business cases, mapping trial balances to reporting consolidation systems, identifying gaps in internal control structure, and establishing new accounting processes
Assist with financial accounting closing by creating, posting, and monitoring journal entries and upload monthly results into Hyperion for companies not using SAP
Prepares and audit account reconciliations for general ledger and sub ledger accounts
Takes ownership of resolving issues by following through with appropriate action
Create PowerPoint slides to be presented to the AS leadership team and AWI executive team
Recommend, develop, and implement changes to continually improve processes, support standardization, and overall effectiveness of our finance team
Provides SOX compliance and audit reviews for both internal & external auditors
What will make you successful
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of experience in an accounting/finance role
Experience using SAP
Proficiency in MS Office Suite - particularly MS Excel.
Proficiency in SAP/ BW
CPA or MBA
